Microsoft created this video (watch below) for its #empowering campaign showcasing how Gleason inspires others living with ALS and how he utilizes Microsoft Surface. ALS has taken my father and my brother, I wish they had these tools available to them. Gleason, lost the use of his voice due to the disease, and now speaks through a synthetic voice on a computer connected to his wheelchair. He writes his words using his eyes. The commercial that will air during the Supper Bowl 48 will be a 60-second ad featuring Gleason and others using Microsoft products. So, for this non-fan of the game and the event, I'll keep my hands on my coffee, and my eyes peeled for this commercial and hope that people are enlightened a little more.
